Decker Electric is proud to have been the electrical and instrumentation contractor for the installation of a Whitefox ICE XL at Western Plains Energy in Oakley, KS. WPE is a Bioethanol Production Facility and is the first in the USA to have this new membrane dehydration system installed. Decker Electric was responsible for the installation of cable tray, conduit, and wire for new dehydration system. This includes 6 new sections of MCC to feed 11 new field motors. The installation of one new DCS cabinet for the wiring of 225 instruments throughout the Whitefox structure and the existing plant. Decker also installed 3 new heat trace control panels to control over 13,000 linear feet of both freeze protection and process-maintained heat trace. This project was completed within schedule and under budget. Our success was proven when Decker Electric was awarded a contract to wire the next Whitefox System in Redfield, SD.
