Shell Bovarius was a brand-new facility that Decker Electric helped complete from the ground up. Our scope of work was any and all things electrical and instrumentation wise starting with the medium voltage transformer that connected the plant to the electrical grid. There was a little bit of underground duct bank and rough in scope that we completed very early on. Then we moved on to the underground grounding loop which went throughout the whole footprint of the plant. Once concrete and steel were set, we ran all of our cable tray and conduit, followed by cable pulls and terminations. We were in charge of both power and communication cabling as well as installation and wiring of all light fixtures throughout the facility. Lastly, we wrapped up the project by installing all of the heat trace for the facility, mainly on process piping and tubing.
